It's been 150 years since the fall of the Cantarian Kingdom (Regno del Cantaria) which slowly broke apart into a multitude of smaller regions over the years after the fall. The uneven rise in technology among newly established Cantarian states and neighboring Ulmuran nations led to a growing instability in the prosperous region of the Cantarian Peninsula also known as "The Rose of Ulmura" in popular literature.

With the instability within, the glooming scare of a major invasion by the neighbor across the mountains looms on to the minds of people. The Cantarians feared that one day disjointed factions of the peninsula would get swept away by the stronger Trevirians, Guthic and Doltrimian Conquests.
